FREE! Northern Tier Barns: A Guide to Barns in the Northern Tier Region of Pennsylvania. This full-color brochure is your guide to learning more about farming history, building styles and the types of agriculture these barns supported. A limited number of print copies are available at the PA North Country Artisan Center & Store in Towanda and at the Endless Mountains Visitors Bureau in Tunkhannock. FREE! Northern Tier Buy Fresh Buy Local Food Guide. This 8-page, full-color guide has information on where to buy fresh, local foods in Bradford, Potter, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga and Wyoming Counties. The guide features seven sections focusing on: Farmers Markets, Farmer/Growers, Dairy Products, Restaurants & Bakeries, Maple & Honey, Wineries and Retail Stores. A limited number of print copies will be available at locations throughout the participating counties.

The Barns and Agriculture of Pennsylvania's Northern Tier: A 2008 Portrait, video. This hour-long documentary takes a look at the history of the barn structure, how to identify its origins, and the role it plays in past and present agriculture. The DVD features interviews with barn experts and local farmers as well as footage from NTCA's two Year of the Barn Dances held in Coudersport and Troy. Price: $19.00 (includes tax).

Headwaters and Hardwoods, paperback. This must-have book presents the drama and romance of contemporary folk arts of the area, telling the story of musicians, craftspeople, story tellers and those steeped in woodslore, people whose modern lives grow out of the cultural traditions and history of the past. Northern Pennsylvania Freedom Trails, spiral-bound paperback. Created as a resource guide for northern PA K-12 classes and teachers, this work is the perfect resource to create a “responsible and credible” unit on the Underground Railroad in the Northern Tier. Price: $14.95.

Stitches Through Time: Quilting Tradition in North Central Pennsylvania, video. Visit with the Millview Missionary Society Quilters of Sullivan County in this 28-minute documentary on this century old tradition. Lively stories rise above nimble fingers as members share tales of family, history, local lore, and current goings-on. Price: $14.95.
